The Robo Hub seeks to create a world-class robotics community center serving local families.
Of course we’ve got robots. We’ve got LEGO® technologies, drones, interactive games, 3D printers, laser cutters, and other maker equipment. We’re digital and analog. We love to learn, teach, explore, and play.
Above all, we’ve got an amazing team and we’re building a community of kids, parents, educators, artists, technologists, and entrepreneurs, starting with our most important audience: kids and parents.

Meet the team
Morgan Ullery
Camp Director / Program Manager
Morgan is an experienced K-12 educator and a dedicated manager of K-12 STEAM programs. As a Code Ninjas Center Director, she coordinated programs, staff and curricula. She holds a Master’s of Education from Rutgers University and has a deep-rooted passion for nurturing young minds. She loves reading, spending time with friends and family, and hanging out with her one-eyed cat, Jinx.
Rick Martin
Director of Education
Rick is a seasoned artist, engineer, and educator with over 10 years of experience in K-12 education. At Archbishop Williams High School, he served as the Art, Music, and Technology Director, taught CAD and programming, coached robotics teams, designed theater sets, and oversaw the Summer enrichment programs.
Xin Liu
Founder
Xin Liu is a Mom of 4, a robotics engineer, and an investor with a particular passion for robotics companies. Xin founded The Robo Hub with the vision of using robotics to connect local communities as well as creating a place where kids can enjoy fun and productive activities. “Moms are all heroes. Let’s work together, do something cool for our kids, and make life easier and happier!”
Jasio Santillan
Camp Director / Customer Service
Jasio studied material science and biomedical engineering at Carnegie Melon. He worked at the Citizen’s Science Lab exciting kids about the world of science. He did research at Tufts on bio plastics. He also runs runs a science at home youtube channel. In Jasio’s free time snowboards, rock climb and collects comic books.
Leonid Tunik
Operations Consultant
Leonid brings his experience as the founder of Empow Studios, the largest STEM enrichment program in Massachusetts, and an entire career of building educational software products for K-12 and higher-ed organizations. He holds an MBA from Boston University.
Matt Segil
Teacher
Matt is a veteran Math and Science educator and a Teach For America alumnus. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience from the University of Vermont and a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from Boston University. He loves being outdoors, enjoying coffee, and spending time with friends and family!
Jordan Cousineau
Teacher
Jordan is studying at Boston University working on his M.S. in Robotics and Autonomous Systems. Jordan is well-versed in teaching, from his work as a teaching assistant, tutor, and robotics instructor to his time as an assistant tennis coach. He enjoys inspiring students to learn through curiosity and hands-on experiences.
Sunil Williams

Sunil is studying computer science at Northeastern with a focus on creating education learning platforms. He has done robotics research at Portland State. Sunil also plays tennis and is building a windmill.
Katriona Durkin

Aaron Saporito
Teacher
Aaron earned a BA in Computer Science with a minor in Astronomy from Connecticut College. He’s published bioinformatics research, designed smart mirrors and mushroom lamps, and won a senior CS research award. Aaron types over 100 words per minute, plays volleyball, and is a certified Wilderness First Responder.
Brendan Smith
Teacher
Lead Teacher Brendan Smith grew up competing in LEGO robotics and later guided Woods Hole science tours on oceanography and marine robotics. A Tufts grad in philosophy, physics, and math, he’s taught high-school math and now studies data analytics at Northeastern. Dungeon Master and Star Trek script fact-checker.
Ginger Doherty

Ginger has a background in public health and STEM education, with degrees from Simmons University and Boston University. She’s taught ceramics and led STEM camps since age 7! A vegetarian from the Jersey Shore, Ginger loves data, laser cutters, and once prepped a sheep’s brain in school.

Coming from a background in Computer Science, Matt is currently a graduate student at Northeastern University studying Interactive Design, with a particular interest in how computers and technology can impact education. He teaches Scratch Coding and Steam Adventures at the RoboHub. He loves going to the movies, playing video games, and cooking in his free time!
Maeve Dodge

Maeve is a rising senior at Northeastern studying Mechanical Engineering. She’s worked in an agri-engineering machine shop building metal projects—including a heart-shaped exhaust tip for her car! Maeve loves animals, anything lime green, and believes life’s better with a little dancing.
Alexander Manthoues

Alexander graduated from the University of Michigan with a degree in Mathematics and minors in Economics and Spanish. Now at Northeastern, he’s built bridges (literally!) and block-coded roller coasters in Minecraft Education. A competitive sailor and academic tutor, he also leads hands-on science programs in his community.
Devaya Nepal

Devaya is a rising sophomore at WPI and a Somerville High alum. He’s passionate about robotics, laser cutting, and design with Fusion 360. Devaya stays active with swimming, cross-country, rowing, and hiking—and when he’s not on the move, he’s baking, cooking, or planning his next travel adventure.

Victoria studied Robotics Engineering at WPI and earned her master’s in Curriculum & Instruction from WGU. She’s started three robotics teams and co-designed a device that helps people with fine motor challenges play guitar. Victoria enjoys sewing, gardening, 3D modeling, her two cats, and is learning Japanese!

Xin Liu
Founder
Serial entrepreneur Xin Liu founded The Robo Hub with the aspiration to build a community center focused on technology and social connection.
With a passion for bringing people together, in conjunction with her investing experience, Xin has successfully helped start over 30 companies. Within the investment industry, Xin is the founder and current President of InTeahouse, a global network of investors, government officials, and other stakeholders in China, US, Germany, Israel, and beyond. InTeahouse has hosted more than 500 companies at industry-specific Summits focused on AI, life sciences, fintech, and other innovation topics across the world.
Xin currently resides in Belmont, MA. Xin attended the University of Science and Technology in Beijing, China where she received a degree in engineering followed by a dual E.M.B.A. degree in Engineering from the University of Science and Technology Beijing, China, and the University of Texas at Arlington. Xin loves spending time with her four children, traveling, and trying new foods. She also enjoys running, sports and is a big fan of the Boston Red Sox.
Deborah Rose
Founder
Deb brings more than 30 years of leadership and management to InTeahouse and Boston Tech Initiative (BTI). She serves both as our Director of Operations and Communications and as the FIRST® Tech Challenge Delivery Partner.
Prior to joining InTeahouse and BTI, Deb served as the Director of Operations Support for FIRST®, For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology. In her role Deb was responsible for overseeing the internal and external customer functions, setting strategic goals for her department, providing key Voice of Customer insights to leadership, and providing project management support to the FIRST family of programs, (FIRST® Robotics Competition, FIRST ®Tech Challenge, FIRST® Lego® League). Deb and her team supported FIRST events and customers worldwide, which by 2019 grew to over 600K youth, 70K teams, and 3,700 events. Through her 19-year tenure at FIRST Deb has gained deep and broad knowledge of FIRST, its programs and participants, the mission and vision, and brings this to her current role as FIRST Tech Challenge Partner. Deb is passionate about engaging youth in robotics and STEM-related activities, promoting collaborative, diverse and inclusive environments, and working closely with coaches, mentors, schools and youth-serving organizations to grow participation and serve their needs.
Deb hails from Wellesley, MA, and is a graduate of Wellesley High School. She attended Wheaton College in Norton, MA, where she received her B.A. in Physics. Her hobbies include martial arts, playing the piano, surfing, and ‘All Things Blockchain Technology.’ Deb speaks conversational French and is learning Korean.
Hyuk-Jeen Suh
Strategic Director
Hyuk-Jeen Suh is the General Partner of SkyRiver Ventures, a deep tech-focused cross-border venture capital fund investing in frontier technology companies in North America and Asia. He brings over 25 years of experience in the consumer electronics, biotech, finance, and semiconductor industries.
Prior to SkyRiver Ventures, Hyuk-Jeen created and was the head of Samsung Ventures America’s east coast office, leading investments across many industries. Before joining Samsung Ventures, Hyuk-Jeen worked at J.P. Morgan investment banking in the Technology, Media, and Telecom group. Prior to J.P. Morgan, he was the global senior business development and marketing manager at MEMSIC, a semiconductor startup with clients in the automobile and consumer electronics industry. He led the global marketing strategy which contributed to the successful IPO of MEMSIC. Prior to joining MEMSIC, Hyuk-Jeen was a senior research engineer at Sequenom, a biotech startup. He conducted research on DNA biochips and high-throughput bio instruments. He began his career at Intel Corporation as a process engineer, leading yield improvement projects for the Pentium microprocessor.
Hyuk-Jeen advises startup companies and is a mentor at various startup accelerators in the U.S., Canada, and Asia. He is a guest speaker at universities including Harvard University, Yale University, and MIT. He serves as investor advisor to Yale University’s Office of Cooperative Research, startup mentor for the Blackstone Launchpad at Cornell University, and venture mentor at Northeastern University.
Hyuk-Jeen earned his Ph.D. in electrical engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He earned his MBA from Yale School of Management. He holds a BS in mechanical engineering, BA in economics, and ME in electrical engineering, all from Cornell University.
Matt Segil
Center Director
Veteran Math and Science educator Matt Segil serves as The Robo Hub’s Director. He is responsible for managing operations, developing course content, and teaching classes.
Matt earned his Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience from the University of Vermont and a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from Boston University. Matt is a Teach For America alumnus and holds teaching licenses in both middle school Mathematics and General Science
In addition to his work as an educator, Matt is a certified volunteer mediator with the MA Judicial Courts. He also founded and runs programming for the Boston-based interfaith group Bread Breakers. Matt has been nationally recognized for his interfaith leadership and has been invited to speak with both Interfaith America and the U.S. Department of Education.
Outside of work, Matt enjoys spending time with friends and family, reading, music, and being outdoors.
Rick Martin
Program Director
Rick Martin is a seasoned artist, engineer, and educator with over 10 years of experience in K-12 education. As the Art, Music, and Technology Director at Archbishop Williams, he oversaw a comprehensive art curriculum, taught CAD and programming, coached robotics teams, and designed theater sets. Rick also served as the Summer Program Coordinator, creating an enriching environment for students during break.
Beyond education, Rick is a dedicated advocate for community service, leading student groups in impactful projects worldwide. His multifaceted approach to education, blending art, technology, and community engagement, reflects a commitment to preparing students for a well-rounded future.
