VEX IQ Preparing for Competition

Course Focus: Full Semester

This class is the entry point for the VEX IQ competition track, teaching students how to design, build, and code robots for structured gameplay challenges while learning key STEM skills.

Students are introduced to the engineering notebook, teamwork roles, and competition rules. They will also practice iterative testing, data-driven improvements, and prepare for entry-level VEX IQ events.

Learning Outcomes:

1. Build and program VEX IQ robots for specific game challenges
2. Understand the fundamentals of team roles and robot strategy
3. Develop project documentation and engineering notebooks
