At The Robo Hub Preschool, we believe that meaningful learning happens when we nurture the whole child—through their hands, minds, hearts, and whole bodies. Our Balanced Learning Framework guides our curriculum and teaching practices, creating a learning environment where children are active participants in their own learning.

We place children at the center of our classrooms, observing their interests, questions, and ideas and using them to guide meaningful learning experiences. Our teachers provide thoughtful scaffolding, encouragement, and support, allowing children to explore at their own pace while building new skills and understanding.

Through play-based and project-based learning, children have opportunities to explore, create, experiment, solve problems, and make connections across different areas of learning. While robotics, technology, engineering, and STEM are an important part of our program, our goal goes beyond technical skills. We nurture creativity, communication, collaboration, confidence, curiosity, and resilience—the foundational skills children need to become capable, confident, and lifelong learners.

Who says robotics is only for bigger kids? Our unique robotics curriculum uses intentionally picked child-friendly robots in different shapes and sizes with different focuses on coding, engineering, augmented reality, 3D modeling, as well as smart AI. Examples of the curriculum include but not limited to:

Ozobots: screen-free robot coding with magnetic cards or colorful markers, cultivating computational thinking, logical thinking, sense of order, sequential skills

BeeBots: colorful and friendly bee-shaped robots that teach children counting, sequencing, directionality, problem-solving, estimation, and fun!

3D Modeling: from scratch to 3D printing, children design their projects on the tablets and then send them to the 3D printers, an engaging and super satisfying experience for them to learn spatial awareness, dimensions, design thinking, and patience

ARPedia: an interactive book-reading app that motivates children to read, learn, and wonder through augmented reality and storytelling

Children’s brains absorb languages the best when they are immersed in the environment and learning through games and songs. We are proud to provide our children with classes and activities conducted by native English, French, and Mandarin teachers every week to make the best of their potential and immerse them in the fun journey of cultural learning and holiday celebrations for all backgrounds!

As much as math and language is important, social-emotional learning serves as an essential part of our curriculum. Adopting positive discipline and responsive classroom approaches, our teachers are dedicated in supporting our children’s emotional needs in a positive and progressive way. Each classroom has a special peace corner, listening station, breathing cards, meditation guidance, etc. to equip kids with various tools for emotion management and growth mindset.

John holds a M.ED in Guidance and Counseling. As a 40-year independent school veteran with 20-year Head of School experience, John is a specialist in board governance and strategic leadership, currently serving as Managing Partner at RG175. RG175 specializes in independent school leadership and supports Boards with governance, strategy, and planning.

He is a proud husband, father of five children and is a lifelong Red Sox and Patriots fan. He currently serves on the board of the Dana Farber Cancer Institute.

Siyuan holds a Master of Education in Human Development and Psychology from Harvard Graduate School of Education and a Bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education. She is a MA Licensed EEC Director II.

Siyuan has more than 7 years teaching and program management experience with early education for ages 0 to 6. Her extensive private school experience as EEC-licensed Lead Teacher includes Kingsley Montessori School, Curriculum Development Specialist for Montessori-inspired programs, and code development with STEAM-based learning for children aged 3–6 at LEGO Education 

As an expert in bilingual curriculum design, specializing in the integration of Montessori methods with modern technology, she bridges cognitive development with an interactive dynamic learning environment

Sofia Handzy holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and a Master of Science in Robotics from Northeastern University. With experience teaching STEM and seven years as a summer camp counselor, she brings technical expertise, creativity, and enthusiasm to the classroom. A recipient of Aviation and Maritime Eagle Scout Awards and a highly ranked Ukrainian Scout, Sofia inspires children to explore engineering, embrace challenges, learn from mistakes, and turn their imaginations into reality.

Wanting Qian holds a bachelor’s degree in Preschool Education from Shanghai Normal University and a master’s degree in Educational Studies from the University of Michigan. With experience in project-based learning, educational technology, and interactive lesson design, she brings creativity and innovation to early childhood education. Wanting is passionate about helping children explore technology, develop problem-solving skills, and gain confidence through hands-on learning.
